No. You do not have to tear away BloodSTOP®. Instead, you wash it away with sterile water, saline solution or hydrogen peroxide

How does it work?
When it comes into contact with blood, BloodSTOP® hemostatic gauze speeds coagulation and expands to a gel that adheres to the surface and applies pressure as it seals the wound.

What are the differences between the BloodSTOP® and iX?
LifeScience PLUS makes two haemostatic gauze products: BloodSTOP and BloodSTOP® iX. They are both water-soluble haemostatic agents which are made from the finest completely natural cellulose. BloodSTOP® haemostatic gauze is often used externally because of its cost-effectiveness; it is made of oxidized cellulose. BloodSTOP® iX is used primarily for surgeries; it is made from etherized regenerated cellulose and typically stops bleeding 80% faster than traditional methods and reduces blood loss by 60%.
